BIL is...

an open, self-organizing, emergent, and anarchic science and technology conference.

Nobody is in charge.

If you want to come, just show up.

If you have an idea to spread, start talking.

If someone is saying something interesting, stop and listen.

We’re capping attendance

Friday, February 29th, 2008

We had no idea BIL would be this popular when we started planning. Our facility holds 150 people, and at the time we didn’t consider that there’d be more people interested.
Per the request of the facility manager, we’re capping attendance at 150 people and no longer adding people to the attendance list.

Singularity Institute - They are covering the cost of the facility for both Saturday and Sunday.
Qtask and The Creative Space - These two sponsors are responsible [...]

Over 100 Attendees!

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

We have over 100 people confirm they are attending by adding themselves to the wiki. If you’re attending, but haven’t added yourself to the wiki, please do so now. We’d like to have a pretty accurate estimate of how many people to expect: http://bilconference.pbwiki.com/Attendees
Also, everyone who’s attending is encouraged to speak. If you have something [...]
