About the Talk
Apathy is obsolete. The future is already here, it’s just not fully developed yet. The Empowerment Platform will change that. But it needs support to get off the ground.

(Story of the Ending)

At TED, Bill Gates unleashed mosquitos to scare rich people into caring about malaria enough to put an end to this disease that cripples people in poor nations. The point is to get funding and attention for solving this human health problem.

Alex Peake unleashed butterflies to inspire empowered people to care about human empowerment enough put an end to the apathy that cripples human lives around the world. The point is to get funding and attention for solving this human potential problem.

About the Presenter
Alex Peake: I’m the founder of EmpowerThyself.com I think I fit the definition of a memebot. I live to change the world. My happiness is directly proportional to my ability to perform my memetic function.

About the Talk
Is this about business, friends, romance? All of it! This is fun, it’s fun to talk to new people. We’ll talk about how to cultivate curiosity about other people, create social connections between people, and add value to other people’s lives. In doing so, everyone’s life is enriched and you help cultivate a network of generosity and goodwill. Adding value to other people’s lives while expecting nothing in return feels good and inherently adds value to your life. We’ll also talk about why “keeping score” doesn’t work. These skills are useful in all areas of life that involve people!
