Physicist Garrett Lisi discusses his much talked about paper, An Exceptionally Simple Theory of Everything, which which proposes a unified field theory combining a grand unification theory of particle physics with Albert Einstein’s general relativistic description of gravitation.

Garrett presented at TED then came over to help close out the final day of BIL on a high note with his talk on fundamental particle physics. I took a lot of photos and they are embedded in this podcast at approximately the right places…

About the Presenter
Garrett Lisi is theoretical physicist and adventure sports enthusiast. Lisi has a Ph.D. in physics, but has worked as an independent researcher rather than holding an academic position.

About the Conference
BIL2008 was the first BIL Conference. It was held at the Youth Center in Monterey, CA on March 1-2.
