Biography
For over a decade, Jason worked in the visual effects and animation industry on such films as Kung Fu Panda 2, The Croods, and How to Train Your Dragon 2. During that time, he would often joke around with co-workers about movies, and one conversation was about “what is the least likely woman to ever get the animated princess treatment?”
From that, he started Rejected Princesses, a blog and art project that heralds the unsung women of history and myth from around the world, in classic animated princess fashion - no matter how ill-suited their stories might be for the medium. The first Rejected Princesses book will be published in Summer/Fall 2016, from Dey Street, an imprint of Harper-Collins.
