I have had a weight problem most of my life but it was in approximately 1998 when I realized I had a reach a turning point. One morning I stepped on the scale and was shocked.
You see we had a heavy duty scale that went to 425 pounds. When I stepped on, I heard "clink". That clink was the needle going all the way around and trying to go farther. I was 425 plus!I had 2 young children at the time. I didn't want to die and leave my wife alone with the 2 kids. I knew I had to do something.
Over the years I tried a lot of fad diets and things that didn't work, but then I learned the secret. Are you ready? Eat less and move more! That of course is the simple answer.
In the course of my journey, the biggest thing I learned besides healthy eating choices and exercise is WHY I was eating the way I was that lead me to 425+ and as of today, I have so far last 185 pounds with no pills, potions, shakes, short cuts or surgery.
Combining my skills as a ventriloquist and performer, I am now bringing a message of real weight loss, and the importance of healthy eating and exercise. I am also a member of the Canadian Obesity Network as well as the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association.
