Jonathan Sheffi (@sheffi) is a lifelong student with a fiery passion for cutting-edge innovations that dramatically improve patients’ lives. He is currently a member of the Harvard Business School MBA Class of 2011. Last summer, Jonathan interned for the CEO Chief of Staff at Life Technologies in Carlsbad, California, where he focused on business planning and strategy for the company’s entry into genomic medicine. Jonathan also organized the 2009 BIL:PIL Healthcare Innovation Conference in San Diego, California. Jonathan has spent several years in the biotechnology industry. Shortly before beginning studies at HBS, he interned in the Office of Biotechnology Products within the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Center for Drug Evaluation and Research in Silver Spring, Maryland. He has also worked at Amgen, excelling in both field and market research roles. Prior to Amgen, Jonathan consulted for several major healthcare companies as part of Accenture‘s Health and Life Sciences Strategy practice. Jonathan received a MEng in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, a SB in Mathematics, a SB in Computer Science and Engineering, and a minor in Biology, all from MIT. Jonathan currently lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In his spare time, he enjoys solving puzzles, and has been a member of four winning Mystery Hunt teams (2002, 2006, 2008, 2010). He is also a graduate of National Bartenders School.
