Praveen Chrispugg started his career as an artist, and secured distinction in Bachelor and Master Degree in Painting from Government College of Arts and Crafts chennai, India. In 2003, he was awarded British Chevening scholarship to study MA Animation in Birmingham City University, Birmingham, UK where he secured distinction. Many of his films have been selected and screened in various International Film Festivals including Cannes and BBC big screen.
He works as a consultant for various creative, educational and production companies based in India and UK. And has been involved in Community development Films since 2003 in Birmingham.
He signed up a partnership with mobile content giant called Jamster/ jamba in Berlin. In 2006, his business idea was given a special award in British Council ‘s Creative Future for Young Indian entrepreneur and was mentored by Creative Industry Development Agency, Hudersfield,UK. Later he was selected for NESTA’s Insight Out Business Training for Creative People in Midlands, and was awarded the initial money to start his business in UK.
His specialization is on visual storytelling, preproduction for film and animation and concept making for all kind of designs. He was creative consultant for India’s first real estate Televison, has done sets, channel packaging and all the creative aspect of the channel. He is a member of Association of British scholars(ABS).
Now he is a academic consultant for ICAT ,Chennai which is linked with Wales University ,UK. Recently he has started a design and animation studio in chennai called Ideaheavens which is working as a production unit for a media company called Springfx in Birmingham ,UK.
