Rock Band and Wii gave players a taste of live, role-based gaming. The next step is immersive play. The wired world provides a rich set of tools for simulated stories and puzzles. Cheap sensors, networked players and augmented video combine for a choose-your-own adventure story that will some day rival Michael Douglas’ Game.
