“Is a planetary body the best place for an expanding technological civilization?” - In this talk Jason re-examines this question originally posed by Gerald K. O’Neill in 1969 with the context of the technological advancements made in recent years.
With a primary focus on manufacturing in space, Jason will address the fundamental bottleneck with the space industry and then talk about the work he is doing to completely re-invent the paradigm of space exploration.
Jason Dunn holds two degrees in aerospace engineering and is a young space entrepreneur currently building his second space company, Made In Space. As Chief Technologist of the company, he is leading a team to build and fly a 3D Printer on the International Space Station. Once in operation it will mark the first time in history that Humanity has manufactured off-Earth.
