The odds of maintaining a significant weight loss for five years or more is about the same as your chance of surviving metastatic lung cancer: 5 percent. I’ve done it for 22 years, kept most of it off. This won’t be an optimistic talk, there are some harsh realities that the diet industry doesn’t talk about.
