Everyone is afraid of something. Most of us are afraid of the same four things. Rejection, Loss (of people, control, dignity, work, etc.), Pain, “Fear itself”. Actors face those terrors every day and have to develop tools to fortify them against that “sea of troubles”. Once I was diagnosed with a terminal illness, I realized those same tools that I’ve been teaching for thirty years…were now essential to my own daily survival and have been allowing me to do more than survive…they have transformed this chapter of my life from one filled with fear, into one of over flowing with joy, and discovery. So, I have to ask…what are you afraid of?
