DIY EEG BCIs and other TLAs

There are now several affordable, consumer-available EEGs (electroencephalographs) that are being used to do cooler and cooler things. But what if you don’t want to pay $1500 for the SDK to a headset you already spent $300 on? I will give a (very) brief overview of EEGs and what they measure, as well as the current options available, what other people are doing and hint at the nefarious scheming of myself and others at SoCal DIYbio.
